Fearfully & Wonderfully Made...

I have been so blessed with a wonderful little boy!

It is so hard to explain how much love I have for him. Beckham has brought so much joy to my life and to others around him. Although he was a complete surprise... he was apart of God's plan and I am so glad he was.

I saw this adorable idea on Pinterest using a part of Psalms 139:14 and I just had to try it out!

Fun with Friends...

Today my neighbor had an appointment so I kept her 3 kids for a few hours. Beckham was so excited to have friends to come play. He had so much fun. They built huge towers with blocks, painted, watched movies, and played kitchen. I have to admit it was such a great feeling to have a house full of laughing kids. Hopefully one day Jeremiah and I will be able to have a few more. If not Beckham can continue to have fun with friends.

The Day of LOVE...

We ate, watched, and did everything that we LOVE.  We had Beckham's favorite for breakfast and lunch... heart-shaped eggs and mini corn dogs with a ketchup heart. Let's just say we watched Cars 2 like twice times today, because Beckham double LOVES it.

Oh and we did lots of laundry and dishes today. Not my all-time love, but I loved spending the quality time with Beckham. For some odd reason my son loves doing the dishes and the laundry... he is very OCD and will go and make something dirty just so he can wash it.

Beckham and I made CUPCAKES today for Valentine's Day.

As we were frosting our cupcakes I asked Beckham if he knew why we were making these. "Of course...it's the day of love" he said. "Yes" I said "but I love you everyday!" "I love you ebery-day too mommy" he replied.

My Valentine!

KISS

YUM

Finger lickin' GOOD

Love the icing

We enjoyed our delicious cupcakes!

The pups also had a Valentine's Day treat as well. :)

I love my little family!!!

This has been a fun day of LOVE!

The Dump...

Today we had to take trash to the dump. On the way Beckham asked all sorts of questions of what is was, where it's at, what it does.... I kept replying "Just wait you will see."

We got there and Beckham was disgusted. "Oh my gracious look at all this JUNK! and what is dat SMELL!" he said.

"Beckham this is where all the trash goes" I replied. "Hurry and wets get out of here!" he screamed. Not interested in having all his billion questions answered we proceed to leave.

"Ughh he said. That was a nightmare. We not going back to the dump eber again!" he exclaimed.

Dinner, Show, and Snow...

February 12, 2012

(Today is my mother-in-laws birthday...Happy Birthday Angie!)

We had been invited to attend a dinner tonight for our friend Jodie's mission trip she is going on. So we packed up  and headed to Boone, NC.

On the way there we stopped in Damascus, VA and played in the snow.

The dinner/show was great. It was a western/country theme with a little Valentine mixed in.

We had such a fun time with family and friends.

New Addition...

February 11, 2012

Jeremiah finally got a day off to spend with us and guess what we woke up to..... SNOW!

Refusing to spend our day inside we venture out and headed to Bristol.  First we dropped Diesel off at Petsmart to get groomed and to "make his booty fresh" as Beckham would say. We had an a few hours to kill until Diesel was ready for pick up so we then headed over to Best Buy and looked at new phones to possibly upgrade mine with. Then we went to Barnes & Noble. We sat in these big over sized chairs curled up and read a chapter of this book that we have both been interested in and watched the snow fall. After our time was up we went to go and pick up our clean "Deezy Baby".

We went back to pick up Diesel and it was adoption day. There were dogs everywhere. Jeremiah went over to look while I waited for Diesel to come out. I came out of the door and Jeremiah had already found our new addition to our family... Mia.

She is less than a year and a solid black lab/retriever mix.We are fostering her for the next two weeks with the option to adopt...which is more than likely going to be a yes. She is so kind and gentle. What an unexpected surprise. Beckham  adjusted well once I explained..."Beckham she is not a horse so please do not jump on her back and say "Wee-Haw."

Jamma Party...

February 10, 2012

T.G.I.F

Today was our relax and unwind day."Mommy wets have a jamma party!" Beckham said. What a great idea I thought! So we relaxed all day in our jammies and watched movies and played games.

To end the day with a big bang Beckham got to eat his jumbo soccer sucker his Aunt Crissy sent him for Valentine's Day. How could our day get any sweeter!

Baked Ghetti...

February 9, 20112

'Beckham," I asked "what do you think we should make for dinner?"  "Hhmmmm" he replied with his serious think pose "wet me think."

"Maybe pasta" he said.

"Well Beckham there are several types of pasta... we can make Chicken Alfredo, Hamburger Helper, Baked Spaghetti.."

"Dats it" he said "Baked Ghetti. Daddy loves dat."

We proceed to make the best "Baked Ghetti" ever and guess what daddy loved it!

Born to SHOP...

February 8, 2012

Today we went with our neighbors on a shopping spree to the Johnson City Mall in Tennessee. Shopping is the best stress reliever with also providing great exercise. We had a fabulous time. Beckham enjoyed the ride in his stroller and going down the elevator. We also discovered an amazing store that I am in love with....Crazy 8. Apparently it is owned by Gymboree; which is my all time fav, but offers clothes a a better price. We also went into a few other stores. I am all about the bargain and I got Jeremiah a  pair of jeans from Gap that were originally $80 for $5...best bargain of the day. We had lunch in the food court and then packed up and headed home.

How cool is that...

Tonight was kids night at our favorite place....Chick-fil-a. We went and enjoyed a delicious meal with some friends. Beckham was so excited about the face painting booth. He contemplated on what he was going to get painted on his face and he finally decided on a BAT. Yup apparently he is training to be the next Batman " How cool is dat!" he said trying to impress the lady painting his face. He then went into detail and  told her about his plans of saving the world and his new bat cave. How cool is that!!!... if he is Batman I will be Batman's MOM

I often think about what Beckham will be when he grows up.Will he be a doctor or lawyer?  Or will he be called to preach? Maybe he will be an engineer like his dad or make it pro in a sport? All I know is that whatever he decides to do I will stand behind him 100%. No matter what he ends up doing I know one thing for sure I will always be Beckham's MOM!

How cool is that!!!

Fibe more minutes...

After a late night and lots of eating. I got up early to go to the gym. I was so motivated. I went to get Beckham up and he was buried under the covers. I rubbed his back and said "Beckham time to wake up." "Fibe more minutes!" he replied.

(10 mins later) "Come on Beckham rise and shine!" I said. (Popping his head above the covers with his eyes still shut) "I done told you.  I going back under the cobers to get more rest. I will tell you when I am ready to rise and shine!" he said in a firm voice.

The apple doesn't fall far from the tree. He sounds more like his father everyday. They are both definitely not morning people. I have a feeling when he starts school we will have a rough start. I guess we will cross that bridge when it comes.

Giants are BIGGER...

February 5, 2012

Superbowl Sunday! As we were getting ready for the big game Beckham asked why all these people were over at his house and why we had so much food. I told him we were getting ready to watch the Superbowl.

"Supper Bowl??... is that a big dinner" he said. "No silly it's like the biggest game of football for the season. The best teams play and then you have the Superbowl winner."

"What teams is it...Duke and 'Tarolina'?" he replied. "No it is the Giants and the Patriots" I said. "Oh well the Giants will be the winner cause they are bigger and bigger" he stated.

Guess who won....the Giants

Staying with ME...

February 4, 2012

Beckham woke up this morning asking where his daddy was. I told Beckham that his daddy had to work day. Beckham seemed so sad. He came and sat in my lap and started to whimper.

"Beckham," I said "don't be sad he will be back later." "I don't want my daddy to work!" he exclaimed. I then explained that daddy had to work so that mommy could stay home and take care of Beckham instead of working. Daddy also works so we have money and so we can live in Jen-ya. He looked up at me with those beautiful blue green eyes. "Yay... thanks Daddy. I love my mommy staying with ME."

I feel so bad for complaining about staying at home. Yes I am bored out of my mind!!! Yes I miss working!!! Yes I traded in my high-heels and dresses for flip-flops and sweatpants, but sweet little comments from my precious little boy reassures me that I am right were I need to be.

Face Off...

Well today was just a laid back day. Beck and I had an early start. We made breakfast and relaxed in our big comfy chair. We watched some of Beckham's favorite movies

Later we went to Wal-Mart and got him a  humidifier. Beckham asked "Mommy wats dat ?" I replied "It's a humidifer'" Beckham had a worried look "I don't want dat. It burn my FACE OFF!!!" I then explained to him how it would help him breathe better and how the water makes steam that moistens the air. "Oh o-tay you can get it. As long as it blows that steam doesn't burn my FACE OFF!"

He is a fighter...

This morning I woke up to my precious boy with  a 103 fever. He seemed to be sleeping comfortably, but was having a hard time breathing. I went into panic mode and started looking up pediatricians in the area. Luckily my friend was able to refer me to an office that was accepting new patients and that would see Beckham today. The pediatrician we saw was great. She was wonderful with Beckham and made him feel so comfortable.

Beckham was put back on the nebulizer in the morning and at night.

She informed us to keep an eye on his fever and symptoms and if it worsens or does not get better to give them a call and they would do x-rays and test.

Beckham is so strong. To be so little he has endured so much. He is a fighter. I pray that he has a good night sleep and is able to breathe comfortably.

What's the DATE...

The first of the month.... there are a few things that I think of... bills due, time to change the calendar, closer to spring, 13 days away from Valentines Day etc.

Today is very near and dear to my heart. Today marks five years that Jeremiah and I have been together. We met on February1st and can you guess what his pick up line was...look at the title. Yes...what's the date? At the time I was thinking to myself really how lame...everyone knows that it is the first of February and then a part of me felt sorry for him. Regardless of what I was thing I fell for it and that simple ridiculous comment lead to a real date, more dates, save the date, our wedding date, our child's birth date, graduation dates and hopefully to many more special dates to come.

5 years ago I never would have thought I would be were I am now.

I was married and beautiful blessed with a precious little boy all at the age of 19.

God has been so good to us. The odds were against us. More than 60% of teen marriages fail within the first few years and less than 2% of teen moms finish college. This August will be 5 years and Jeremiah and I are both college graduates. We were faced with challenges and obstacles that we have overcomed together and most of all we grew up together. Jeremiah still has a little ways to go. You know what statics say...girls mature fast than boys.

I feel so blessed. I am so thankful for great family and friends that have helped us along the way. Your love and support encouraged us and made us who we are today.

This date is important to me, because if I would have not proceeded in falling for this lame goofy guy who asked what's the date was my life would not be what it is today.

PS: Jeremiah if you are reading this today is February 1st.
