FEARLESS...
Today we went to the park with friends. Beckham loves the outdoors and he is so active. He is very independent and is also completely FEARLESS!
I get so nervous at times. I am trying really hard to let him be a boy and run wild, but I still catch my self being the cautious mom and completely embarrassing him. All I hear is "Mommy I will be o-tay!" or " Not in front of my friends" so I step back and let him do his thing while my heart is racing and I am a total nervous wreck.
I have kept him in a bubble for so long. Partly due to his previous medical issues and also due to the fact that he is my baby boy. I am learning as time goes that I need to let him grow up. He is growing up faster than I would like.
I am trying to teach Beckham the importance of being careful. He tends to want to show off sometimes when he is in front of his friends and when you hear the words "Hey guys watch dis" most of the time it ends in a crash...boom....bang. He smiles and walks away like he is the cool kid on the block and then we go inside and he has to make me kiss his boo-boos. I just love how my kisses can make all his pain go away. It saddens me to think that one day that will not be the case, but until then I am going to enjoy it while I can and give lots of kisses to my fearless little boy.

Times FLYING...
Wow... I don't know how I have let myself get so far behind on my blog. The past few weeks have been so hectic. Instead of writing for each day I will just sum up our main events.
February 19th we received a call that my Uncle Allen passed away. Although we all know he in a better place it is still hard to accept that he is no longer with us. During this time Beckham and I went down and stayed with family for a week.
Last weekend we had a tornado watch/warning. I am so thankful for American Red Cross and Social Services who put together a shelter for a safe place for families within the area. The storm passed us and our town had very minimal damage, but for surrounding towns and states they suffered a big impact. God was definitely with us.
This past Sunday we went to the movies with our neighbors and their kids to see The Lorax. The movie was super cute. Beckham sat the entire movie ( so proud). After the movie we went out to eat. The guys wanted Mexican so we stopped at Los Arcos. Everything was terrible. We had bad service and bad food. Our neighbors husband and Jeremiah ate this nasty looking pork and fish and ended up with food poisoning. I have always heard bad things about it, but after seeing J suffer like he did that is one thing that I hope I never get. They were both sick for days.
It seems like time is just flying. Beckham is growing more and more each day. We are adjusting better to Virginia. We have some wonderful neighbors that have been simply amazing.
On a nice sunny day there are approx. 20+ kids on our block that Beckham plays with and as you can see most are girls. We are also the only family that has just 1 child. HAHA
It has been great for Beckham to have older playmates. I can tell a big difference in his speech/vocabulary and his little attitude.
