We walked into the Dr. office and filled out paper work. Soon we were called back and the nurse asked some questions and then checked temp and proceeded with checking my blood pressure. (Beckham was watching every move she made.) "Don't hurt my mommy" he said. "'I won't" the nurse said. The nurse put the blood pressure cuff on my arm and it pitched a little and I made a slight uncomfortable expression on my face. Beckham looked at me very serious and then ran over and kicked the nurse "I told you do not hurt my mommy!" he said. The nurse just laughed. I was a tad bit embarrassed he attacked the nurse, but touched that he was so protective over me.
While we sat and waited, and waited, and waited for the Dr. to come in. Beckham was there rubbing my back telling me "it's going to be o-tay mommy". I started getting dizzy and feeling worse. I laid my head down on Beckham's lap and he played with my hair and just comforted me. He asked "Mommy you still sick". I shook my head yes. He raised my head up and went stomping to the door. He peaked his little head around the corned and spotted a nurse. "Hey" he said " my mommy is sick. Can someone help my mommy???" 2 seconds later the Dr. appeared. She gave me a shot and a pill to help with the sickness/migraine and prescribed some drugs for me to take at night and when I feel a migraine coming on. On our way out of the office Beckham hugged the Dr. and the nurse and thanked them for "fixing" his mommy.
I am so thankful to have some relief. I am also very thankful that I had a great care taker today. Beckham has stuck by my side all day. He has been so helpful and loving. I think I am going to be "o-tay!"
