Beckham and I started our day with the most important meal BREAKFAST!
We both agreed that blueberry waffles was the best choice. Mr. Independent...I mean Beckham decided that he could do it better so I let him show me how it's done.
"Wet me do it!"
I have to say he did a fantastic job! He was so proud of himself and his big accomplishment.
Later we unpacked a few boxes, did 6 loads of laundry, mopped, vacuumed, fixed lunch, watched a movie, and then had an art time.
We started talking about family and how we are all connected. I took a piece of paper and started at the bottom and drew a square for each person in our immediate family. We spent sometime and talked about each member. I explained "This is You!" (referring to the bottom square).
We connected Jeremiah's family together including his mom "Grandma", his dad "Grandpa", and his sister "Aunt Sarah". Beside Aunt Sarah we added her husband "Uncle Josh" and their children Heidi and Elias.
We then discussed my side which included my mom "Nanee", my dad "Paw-Paw", and my brother "Uncle Jacob".
Beckham wanted to draw a picture of everyone together.
Left to Right:
Heidi, Elias, Josh, Sarah, Grandpa, Grandma, Daddy, Beckham, Mommy, Paw- Paw, Nanee, Jacob
I laughed and I cried.
We looked at pictures of everyone and Beckham matched his crayons to their hair color. Everyone except Paw-Paw. Beckham said " Paw-Paw has NO hair!" OMG! I about lost it. He definitely pays attention to detail.
Then Beckham asked about Jeremiah's daddy. I told him that Grandpa went to be with Jesus. As you notice 5th from the left Beckham drew a picture of his Grandpa with a halo and angel wings. "He said look mommy grandpa is an angel." My eyes started to tear up.
Then I asked. "Beckham what is that (pointing to the blue scribbles on the Beckham figure."
"Dats my pants!" he replied.
I guess we all know who wears the pants in this family, and he is getting a little too big for his britches.

haha love this! That is way TOO sweet that he drew Jeremiah's father, especially with a halo. Such a sweet boy!!
